Temperature Control with Pymeter: Pymeter controls temperature through its Temperature Controller, which functions as both a Heating and Cooling controller. To activate Heating or Cooling, you must set the ON-Temperature (ON-Temp) and OFF-Temperature (OFF-Temp) thresholds accordingly. Heating initiates when the temperature falls below the ON-Temp and stops when it exceeds the OFF-Temp. Therefore, for effective heating, the ON-Temp (1oN, 2oN) should be lower than the OFF-Temp (1oF, 2oF). During heating, 1oN (2oN) represents the minimum allowable temperature, while 1oF (2oF) denotes the maximum allowable temperature. Conversely, Cooling begins when the temperature rises above the ON-Temp and ceases when it drops below the OFF-Temp. For cooling operations, the ON-Temp (1oN, 2oN) should be higher than the OFF-Temp (1oF, 2oF). In cooling mode, 1oN (2oN) is the maximum allowable temperature, and 1oF (2oF) is the minimum allowable temperature.
Temperature Reading Accuracy: Each Pymeter controller undergoes calibration before leaving the factory, ensuring precise temperature readings. It is essential not to compare its accuracy with common, less accurate thermostats, thermometers, or temperature guns. If there are concerns regarding the accuracy of the Pymeter controller, a calibration can be performed using an ice-water mixture (which stabilizes at 32°F during melting). This comparison will clarify the accuracy of the Pymeter against other devices.
Continuous Beeper Sound: The continuous beeping may be due to incorrect Alarm settings (AL, AH, d7) that do not correspond to your desired temperature thresholds. AL denotes the low-temperature alarm (activated when the current temperature equals or falls below AL), while AH indicates the high-temperature alarm (activated when the current temperature equals or exceeds AH). The d7 setting triggers an alarm when the temperature deviation between Sensor 1 and Sensor 2 exceeds d7. If these alarms are unnecessary, it is advisable to retain the default values, which typically avoid triggering alarms. To reset to factory settings, switch the temperature unit from Fahrenheit to Celsius in the settings menu.
